Folk Architecture

Krajina, sídlo a lidská obydlí tvoří po staletí jednotu. Žďárské vrchy jsou dokladem této dějinné skutečnosti. Patří k územím neobyčejně bohatým na uchované doklady tradiční lidové zástavby. Vedle vsí staršího původu s pravidelnou zástavbou, mezi něž patří Maršovice, Herálec a Svratka, se v krajině setkáváme se sídly s rozptýlenými usedlostmi výrazně ovlivněnými zdejším terénem. Do této skupiny patří například Blatiny, Křižánky a Samotín.

The oldest stone homesteads belonged to mayors. The top building craft are square typed homesteads in Sněžné, Javorek, Maršovice and Sádek. Others, younger buildings are in Křižánky, Blatiny, Herálec, Samotín.
