Basic information
92 inhabitants, 730 m above sea level, 10 km north-east of Nove Mesto, the connection to the village by bus, by car. There is a grocery store. Odranec lying on yellow and blue trail in the protected landscape Area. Information kiosk is located at the community center.
The village was founded at the turn of the 14th and 15 century on the area of Lords of Pernštejna. The first written mention of the village is from 1437. In 1749 the village got its own. In 1749 the municipality received its own seal, double-tailed lion with a crown. 
Folk architecture
The village has been preserved wooden and brick buildings. On the square stands a monument guerrilla M.V. Barjačného, which commemorates the partisan unit called "Jermak" in Odranec at the end of the Second World War. Nearby the road stands the belfry with firehouse.

The village lies on the southwestern slope of the hill Bohdalec (803 m). At the top is the rock formation from which it is distant view of the central ridge Zdarske Hills. Around the Bohdalec there are traces of minig iron ore which was mined for estate of Nove Mesto in the 18th and 19 century.

Cycling race called Time in Věcov Hills ends in the Odranec. Race takes place on the first Saturday in September. The village organized sausage races, cross country skiing for kids and adults, and traditional carnival for children.

Hiking, biking, mushroom picking, climbing.
Winter activities
Cross-country ski trails, ski slopes New Jimramov and Harusův hill.
